沿革
1950年代
CVEの歴史は、1950年代後半、英国ケンブリッジに電子ビーム溶接機と真空炉の専門メーカーであるTorvac社が設立されたことに始まる。TorvacはHawker Siddley Dynamics社の「Dynaweld」技術を購入し、150kVの溶接機をラインナップに追加。
1960年代
1960年代に、Torvac社の退社エンジニアがWentgate Engineers社を設立。両社は長年、事業の上で競合する。
1980年代
1980年代後半、TorvacとWentgate Engineersは、新たに設立されたTIグループ傘下のThermal Scientific社に買収される。その後、両社は和解してウォータービーチに移転し、Cambridge Vacuum Engineering (CVE)という新社名で事業を開始。
2000年代
2001年、Aquasium Technology LtdがCVEの新しいオーナーとなり、CVEは更に力をつけ、革新的な技術であるEbflowとEbflow LightをCVEの製品群に加え、レーザー溶接システムも追加。
2010年代
2007年、CVEは米国WDIと合併し、マサチューセッツに新会社CVE Inc.を設立し、グローバルな存在感とリーチを拡大。
2020年代
2020年、中国にオフィスを開設。この地域の継続的な成長の要求に応え、お客さまへファーストクラスのサポートを提供し続けることが可能に。
